About Sermorelin Acetate
Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide comprising the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), the minimal sequence that retains receptor-activating capability at the pituitary GHRH receptor. Supplied as an acetate salt, it offers favorable handling and solubility characteristics for laboratory formulation work. Researchers use sermorelin as a reference agonist in assays of growth hormone (GH) secretion, to characterize GHRH-receptor pharmacology, and to study how GH pulsatility feeds back on hepatic IGF-1 production and downstream metabolic pathways. Because receptor engagement maps to specific residues within the 1–29 region, sequence deletions, oxidation of methionine, or deamidation can reduce potency measurably; chromatographically invisible impurities are a known source of assay variability. Shandong Shengyuan addresses this through RP-HPLC purity certification at 99.3% or higher, LC-MS sequence and mass confirmation, and peptide-content normalization so that reported concentrations reflect active peptide rather than salt and moisture. For research use only; not intended for human or veterinary use.
